The Nokomis Area Civic Association – NACA serves the Mid Sarasota County area seeking to create and maintain collaborations among individuals, HOA’s, business and government to make the area the best it can be to live, work and recreate.
Nokomis is located in unincorporated Sarasota County, most of our neighborhoods have public water and sewer. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, and the Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department partners with the Sarasota County Fire Department in the safety protection of the area. The Nokomis area enjoys the lowest tax rates in the county; we’re a bargain!
NACA is pleased to have partnered in many of the accomplishments and improvements to the area including: the widening of U.S. 41 with landscaping; the Nokomis Revitalization District (mass entitlement potential for the U.S. 41 and Colonia Lane corridors), Legacy Trail, and the Nokomis Beach Pavilion to name a few.

If a tile or shingle roof is not too deteriorated it may be possible to restore and buy a few additional years of service at a much lower cost than engaging in a totally new roof.
It is always wise to be proactive and monitor roofs via annual inspection. Typically, roof deterioration begins with vents and valleys not being maintained. Left unchecked the deterioration spreads to the wood under the roof. When this rot begins it may be too late to restore the roof.
Musts to avoid include putting chlorine on the roof and using high pressure when cleaning.
We suggest that you conduct your due diligence in checking alternatives and warranties.
