We find that many house hunters from out of the area are not aware of the confusion of the West Villages being mostly in the City of North Port vs. the City of Venice even though the area presently has a Venice mailing address assigned by the U.S. Post Office.  This does impact taxes, voting, and according to the belief of some of the residents in the article below, it impacts their property values.
